How can HBTC help me recruit an apprentice?
HBTC have been delivering apprenticeships since 1996. We’ve been in the industry long enough to know that getting the recruitment process correct is a key component of apprenticeship success.
Our Recruitment Team specialises in connecting employers with the ideal apprenticeship applicants for their jobs. We are able to offer this recruitment service completely free!
We can recruit apprentices for employers across the Humber region. Including Hull and East Yorkshire, Scunthorpe and North Lincolnshire, and Grimsby and North East Lincolnshire.

The Recruitment Team is the first contact point for anyone looking to recruit an apprentice. They can provide guidance regarding the recruitment process, funding and incentives, the course structure and anything else apprentice related.
The Recruitment Team have access to an active database of candidates looking for opportunities within local companies. Your role will also be promoted to attract further quality applicants.
Candidates are screened before you receive CVs. Ensuring you receive only suitable candidates for your opportunity. Thus saving you time sifting through unsuitable CVs.
We then arrange interviews on your behalf. Following your candidate interviews. We make offers to successful candidates and provide feedback to unsuccessful ones.
Once your apprentice accepts the offer, we will get everything in place ready for them to start with you and begin their apprenticeship training!
Also, for each apprentice hired, as part of our commitment to sustainability, HBTC will plant a tree on your behalf. We hope that both the environment and the new apprentice will grow and flourish as a result of our efforts.

Each course is different and focuses on developing the apprentice in the specific area chosen. The duration of each apprenticeship can also differ. Therefore, it is important that we know what the role will cover at the start of the apprenticeship to ensure the objectives can be achieved. We can discuss this with you at the start to make sure your role fits.
What are the benefits of recruiting an apprentice?
There are lots of benefits to hiring an apprentice, here are a few:
1. Improved Recruitment
Recruiting an apprentice allows you to teach them the skills required for the job. Enabling you to fill skills gaps. They are more likely to stay with you long-term, lessening the need for recruitment and training in the future.
2. Enhanced Reputation
Companies that hire apprentices are viewed as forward thinkers, who are helping people to learn and grow, which in turn also helps to improve the reputation of a business.

Once your apprentices have found their bearings within the business, they will be able to alleviate a lot of the stress that a heavy workload can bring to a team.
4. Improved Morale
Taking on apprentices has been shown to increase staff morale. They can diversify and refresh your workplace, bringing a fresh perspective, and lots of skill and knowledge with them.
