Study finds nature can have a positive impact on mental health

A new study by the Wildlife Trusts has found that nature can have a positive impact on mental health.

The study, which is the first of its kind in the UK, surveyed 2,000 people about their mental health and wellbeing.

The results showed that those who had contact with nature, whether it was through walking in the park or gardening, felt less anxious and more positive about their mental health. The study also found that nature can help to reduce stress levels, improve moods and increase feelings of happiness.

This is good news for those who suffer from mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression, as it shows that there is an alternative to medication and therapy. Nature can provide a safe and calming environment, where people can feel relaxed and comfortable.

The Wildlife Trusts are urging people to make time for nature, and are calling on the government to do more to support mental health in the UK. This includes investing in green spaces, such as parks and gardens, and protecting natural habitats.
