HBTC Goes Green With the Installation of Solar Panels
At HBTC, we are dedicated to sustainability and actively working to reduce our environmental impact. As part of our commitment, we are excited to share that we are installing solar panels at our headquarters this week!
This initiative offers multiple advantages. It not only contributes to environmental preservation but also helps reduce energy costs, allowing us to allocate more resources towards supporting learners.
This endeavour also aligns with our other green initiatives, including planting a tree for every apprentice our employers recruit. We have planted approximately 200 trees this year alone!
Our decision to install solar panels was driven by a strong desire to contribute to a healthier and more sustainable environment. With the growing concern over climate change and its impact on our planet, we wanted to do our part in reducing carbon emissions. But it wasn’t just about the environment. We also saw the many cost-saving benefits of going solar. By generating our own electricity, we would be able to significantly reduce our monthly energy bills and ultimately save money in the long run.
Thanks to a grant from the Hull City Council, we were able to secure some funding towards our project. We are grateful for the council’s support and their commitment to promoting sustainable practices in our community.
At HBTC, we believe that businesses have a significant role in contributing to a sustainable future. We hope that by installing solar panels in our headquarters, we can play our part in reducing our impact on the environment while continuing to provide value to our clients and customers.
