Do you aspire to become a Teaching Assistant? Tweendykes School is excited to offer two Teaching Assistant Apprenticeships for individuals looking to start their careers in education, particularly in working with children and young people with complex and Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Key Responsibilities
As a Teaching Assistant Apprentice at Tweendykes, you’ll work under the guidance of experienced teaching staff both inside and outside the classroom. You’ll support learners aged from early years to post-16, helping them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Work under the guidance of the teaching staff to support pupil learning
- Assist individuals and small groups with tasks and activities
- Understand how children, young people, and vulnerable adults with complex and Special Educational Needs learn
- Help maximise pupil progress and attainment across all curriculum areas
- Support pupils’ personal, physical, social, and mental well-being
- Attend relevant CPD and training to support your development and the needs of the pupils
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
Skills & Knowledge
