Kirton Lindsey Primary School is excited to welcome a TA Apprentice to its friendly and caring team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with children and eager to make a difference in their learning and development.

The role offers the chance to gain hands-on classroom experience, learn from dedicated staff, and begin a rewarding career in education within a supportive and nurturing school community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the school’s ethos and promote diversity, inclusion, equality, and acceptance of all learners.
  • Support the implementation of safeguarding policies and uphold safe practice, including online safety and confidentiality.
  • Work in partnership with teachers, the SENDCo, external professionals, and parents/carers to support each learner’s progress.
  • Reflect on their own practice and identify opportunities for professional development.
  • Understand and support the specific needs of learners to help them achieve their individual goals.
  • Encourage and teach positive learning behaviours, supporting pupils to become independent and motivated learners.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with pupils and promote positive behaviour, following the school’s behaviour policy.
  • Support pupils’ social, emotional, and mental wellbeing, as well as their personal care needs when required.
  • Deliver small group and one-to-one learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher.
  • Contribute to planning and assessment by helping to monitor, record, and report pupil progress.
  • Help prepare and maintain a stimulating, safe, and engaging classroom environment.
  • Support or lead enrichment activities, including school trips, clubs, and special events.
