Junior Operations Administrator Apprentice
LPI Worldwide Logistics is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Operations Administrator Apprentice to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in operations and freight forwarding.
In this role, you will work closely with senior members of the team, ensuring you receive the guidance and support needed to develop and succeed. Full training will be provided across all aspects of the position.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving and making telephone calls to customers, suppliers, and transport providers
- Managing and responding to emails using Microsoft Outlook
- Obtaining pricing and freight rates from suppliers and carriers
- Preparing and issuing quotations to customers
- Booking shipments using the company’s internal database system (full training provided)
- Maintaining accurate records and filing documentation
- Providing general administrative support to the freight forwarding team
- Raising Export customs clearances (full training provided)
Skills & Knowledge
- Outgoing and confident
- Willing to learn and develop new skills
- Organised with good attention to detail
- Comfortable communicating with customers and suppliers
- Grades 4 or above (or equivalent) in GCSE Maths and English (beneficial but not essential)
- Business, Sales, or Administration experience (beneficial but not essential)
