IT Support Technician Apprentice

If so we have a superb new role for you. Smailes Goldie Chartered Accountants are looking to take on an IT Support Technician Apprentice to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have an interest in the IT sector and some working IT knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Device Installation and Configuration: Learn to install and configure desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Help Desk Support: Provide first-line and second-line support to end-users, resolving technical issues promptly and efficiently.
- Networking: Gain a grounding in networking fundamentals, including setting up and troubleshooting network connections.
- Server Management: Assist in the maintenance and administration of servers.
- Active Directory: Learn to manage user accounts and permissions within Active Directory.
- Security: Understand and apply basic security practices to protect our systems and data.
- Policy Adherence: Ensure compliance with IT policies and procedures.
- Responding to support tickets and assisting users with IT-related issues.
- Setting up new user accounts and workstations.
- Performing routine maintenance and updates on IT equipment.
- Troubleshooting hardware and software problems.
- Supporting the IT team in various projects and tasks.
- Documenting issues and resolutions in the help desk system.
- Providing basic training and guidance to end-users on IT tools and systems.
