Customer Service Assistant Apprentice
CPD Direct in Hull is excited to welcome a Customer Service Assistant Apprentice to join their friendly and supportive team.
This is an exciting opportunity to start your career in customer service. Working alongside their Direct Sales Team, made up of external Sales Executives and internal Customer Service Executives, you’ll play a key part in helping them deliver an outstanding experience for their SME customers. You’ll gain hands-on experience across all aspects of customer service while completing a nationally recognised apprenticeship qualification.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to customer enquiries via phone, email, live chat, and in person.
- Shadow experienced colleagues to learn how to resolve complaints and find effective solutions.
- Help maintain accurate customer records and transaction logs.
- Support the processing of orders, forms, and requests.
- Learn to provide clear, professional product and service information.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
- Complete apprenticeship coursework and demonstrate progress in your skills and knowledge.
Skills & Knowledge
- Confident, engaging, and able to build positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
- A team player who can also work independently.
- Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and “can-do” attitude.
- Organised and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- An excellent communicator, both written and verbal, with a professional telephone manner.
- Honest, reliable, and attentive to detail.
- Competent in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Enthusiastic and willing to learn.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office).
- Positive attitude and commitment to great customer service.
Desirable:
- Experience in a customer-facing role (paid, voluntary, or school-based).
- Interest in building a career in customer service or business support.
