Due to continued growth and expansion, this plumbing and heating company in Hull is looking for a proactive and organised Admin Assistant to join their operations team.

As an Admin Assistant, you will report directly to the Operations Director and will play a key role in supporting day-to-day operations, ensuring excellent service delivery to clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to clients, engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Handle inbound calls and emails, responding in a professional and timely manner
  • Liaise with customers, providing updates on job progress and status
  • Log client requests and call-outs on the CAFM system
  • Maintain accurate system records with updates from all stakeholders
  • Plan and monitor engineers’ schedules and workloads
  • Carry out general helpdesk administrative duties
  • Generate and issue purchase orders
  • Produce and distribute client reports
  • Monitor operational KPIs to support SLA performance

Skills & Knowledge

  • Previous experience in an administrative or service-based role will be beneficial, ideally within the service industry
  • Experience in building maintenance or a similar industry is advantageous but not essential
  • Excellent telephone manner and strong attention to detail
  • Strong written communication skills, with accurate spelling and grammar
  • Confident using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • A team-oriented approach with a proactive attitude
