Marketing and Communications Apprentice

As a Marketing and Communications Apprentice, you won’t just learn, you’ll actively contribute to meaningful campaigns, help share powerful stories, and see the impact of your work in the community. P.A.U.L for Brain Recovery offers a supportive and friendly team environment where your ideas are valued, alongside hands-on experience across social media, content creation, events, and digital marketing, all while supporting individuals and families affected by acquired brain injury.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce social media posts, graphics, and short-form video content
- Support blogs, newsletters, website content, and press releases
- Help share real stories and impact from the community
- Schedule and publish content across platforms
- Monitor engagement and support responses to messages
- Keep up with trends to keep content fresh and relevant
- Assist in planning and delivering marketing campaigns
- Promote fundraising events and community initiatives
- Attend events to capture content and showcase our work
- Create graphics using tools like Canva
- Produce engaging video and Reels content
- Ensure all content reflects our brand and tone of voice
- Help update the website and marketing materials
- Assist with email marketing and mailing lists
- Contribute to reporting and performance tracking
Skills & Knowledge
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English (Grade 4/C or above)
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths (Grade 4/C or above)
- Interest in marketing, media, or communications
- Creative mindset with strong attention to detail
- Confident written communication skills
- Good IT and social media knowledge
- Willingness to learn and work as part of a team
- Passion for supporting a charitable cause
- Ability to travel to events (some locations may require transport)
Desirable:
- A Level (or equivalent) in a relevant subject (i.e., iMedia, Media Studies, Graphic Design)
- Basic knowledge of video creation or editing
