The successful candidate will be responsible for providing advanced technical support to clients, ensuring that all issues are resolved efficiently and effectively. This role requires a strong understanding of software systems, as well as the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level technical support for Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Troubleshoot software issues, including application errors and system malfunctions
  • Support users with VPN connectivity issues and firewall configurations
  • Manage helpdesk tickets using the Remedy system, ensuring timely and effective resolution
  • Deliver desktop support for hardware and peripheral issues, including network devices
  • Collaborate with internal teams to escalate unresolved issues and implement long-term solutions
  • Maintain clear documentation of support processes and user interactions
  • Communicate effectively with users to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions

Skills & Knowledge

  • Proven experience in a Technical Support / Helpdesk or 2nd Line Support role
  • Strong understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Proficiency in Firewall management and configuration
  • Knowledge of VPN technologies within corporate environments
  • Solid desktop support and software troubleshooting experience
  • Experience with MS OS, TCP/IP networks, and Office 365
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A positive, proactive approach to problem-solving
  • A full driving licence
  • A positive attitude
  • A genuine love of all things IT
