This well-established business in Driffield is seeking a motivated and proactive Junior IT Support Technician to join their team and make an immediate impact.

You will provide 1st line IT support to a wide customer base, ensuring the highest levels of service are maintained. Working to ITIL principles, you will follow IT policies and procedures while managing user and customer expectations, supporting current operations, and helping the business prepare for future needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for customers, assisting with technical issues in person, over the phone, or via chat/email.
  • Capture, record, and resolve technical problems while maintaining accurate documentation of issues and resolutions.
  • Take ownership of customer issues, seeing them through to completion or escalating appropriately.
  • Maintain service levels as outlined in the Service Level Agreement (SLA).
  • Support users by educating them on tools and systems to ensure effective usage.
  • Maintain the IT asset database, ensuring accuracy, accountability, and cost control.
  • Contribute to strategic projects as identified by the Service Desk Manager.
  • Stay up to date with IT industry developments via training, workshops, and seminars.
  • Be flexible with varying day-shift patterns as required.

Skills & Knowledge

  • 1-3 years’ experience in a customer-facing support role, preferably technology-related.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Windows (client devices).
  • Understanding of Windows Server, MS Exchange, and Active Directory (Users & Computers).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Hands-on, flexible, and proactive with a willingness to learn.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to issue diagnosis.
  • Team player who enjoys sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues.
  • Well-organised with excellent time management and the ability to work independently.
  • Full driving license and access to your own transport.

Desirable:

  • Experience with Airwatch Mobile Device Management.
  • Experience with mobile devices and application management across Microsoft, Apple, and Android platforms.
