Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children? Do you have patience, creativity, and a caring nature? Healing Academy, part of the Harbour Learning Trust, is looking for a Teaching Assistant Apprentice to join their dedicated team in Grimsby.

This is a hugely varied and rewarding role: one moment you’ll help your appointed child understand their lesson, the next you might be assisting them in moving between classrooms. You will spend your day getting to know your child, supporting their learning and development, and watching them grow. Your role will be critical in enabling that child to thrive, and you’ll work closely with class teachers to ensure their needs are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one support to pupils with SEND or additional needs
  • Assist pupils in lessons, ensuring understanding and engagement
  • Support pupils during transitions and daily routines
  • Monitor and report on pupil progress to teachers
  • Collaborate with staff to plan and implement targeted support
  • Promote positive behaviour and a safe learning environment
  • Participate fully in the school’s wider life and activities
