Teaching Assistant Apprentice

Frederick Holmes School is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant Apprentice to join their supportive team and make a real difference in the lives of their pupils.

They are looking for a passionate and caring Teaching Assistant Apprentice to join their dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity to start or develop a rewarding career in education, supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) while gaining a nationally recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.

Key Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning activities under the direction of the class teacher.
• Contribute to lesson planning and evaluation, providing regular feedback on pupils’ progress, behaviour, and engagement.
• Provide specialist support for pupils with SEN, disabilities, personal and health needs, or English as an Additional Language (EAL).
• Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), Behaviour Plans, and Personal Care programmes.
• Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development, encouraging confidence and independence.
• Set high expectations and promote a positive learning environment for all learners.
• Use ICT effectively to enhance teaching and learning activities.

• Ideally Grade 4/C or above in GCSE Maths and English.
