IT Installations Engineer
A local IT Support company is seeking a highly motivated IT Installations Engineer to join their dynamic team.
The role focuses on managing Level 1 Projects and performing on-site installations either independently or with other engineers. The successful candidate will ensure that all projects meet the high standards expected by their clients and adhere to internal business procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and execute Level 1 Projects efficiently.
- Perform on-site installations, both solo and with teams.
- Maintain and update internal systems for seamless operations.
- Provide out-of-hours support as part of the On-Call shift rota (1 in 5 weeks).
- Research, diagnose, troubleshoot, and identify solutions to resolve technical issues.
- Deliver quality technical support to clients through various communication channels.
- Collaborate with third-party businesses to install, configure, and resolve client software issues.
- Address non-technical queries and liaise with other departments as necessary.
- Ensure all client expectations are met and projects are completed to a high standard.
- Adhere to procedures to meet internal business standards.
- Achieve specific targets set by the Line Manager.
Skills & Knowledge
- Proficient with Windows operating systems, especially Windows 11.
- Skilled in replacing and upgrading internal computer components.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues.
- Working knowledge of deployment and imaging methods.
- Understanding of networking equipment and concepts.
- Experience with Autotask PSA and N-Able RMM is beneficial.
- Relevant IT qualifications (e.g., Microsoft, CompTIA, ITIL) are beneficial, though not mandatory.
