A well-established and growing Managed Service Provider is looking for an IT Engineer to join its technical support team.

Supporting a wide range of business clients, this role is ideal for someone with commercial IT support experience who enjoys troubleshooting, problem-solving, and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. Working across multiple client systems and technologies, you’ll provide first-line and some second-line support while developing your technical knowledge alongside experienced engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing IT support to a varied client base within an MSP environment
  • Responding to incidents and service requests via ticketing systems, phone, and email
  • Troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues
  • Supporting Microsoft 365, Windows environments, and user administration
  • Carrying out routine maintenance tasks and system checks
  • Assisting with customer IT projects and installations
  • Monitoring alerts and escalating complex issues where required
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and ticket updates
  • Visiting client sites occasionally for support and project work

Skills & Knowledge

Essential

  • Around 1 year of commercial IT support experience
  • Previous experience within an MSP or multi-client environment
  • Experience working with ticketing systems and SLAs
  • Good working knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage workload effectively
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable

  • Experience with Active Directory, Azure / Entra ID
  • Basic networking knowledge, including DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP
  • Exposure to VoIP systems such as 3CX
  • Experience with RMM tools, PSA systems, backup solutions, or endpoint security platforms
  • Relevant IT certifications, such as CompTIA or Microsoft certifications

Location: Hessle

Wage: From £24,785 per annum, dependent on experience
