Due to continued growth and expansion, this plumbing and heating company in Hull is looking for a proactive and organised Service Administrator to join their operations team.

Reporting to the Operations Director, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day delivery of services, acting as a central point of contact for customers, engineers, suppliers and subcontractors. This is a varied and fast-paced position that would suit someone with excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail and a professional telephone manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing administrative support to clients, engineers, suppliers and subcontractors
  • Handling inbound calls and emails from customers and colleagues
  • Logging service requests and call-outs onto the company management system
  • Liaising with customers and providing timely updates on job progress
  • Updating operational systems with information received from engineers and suppliers
  • Scheduling and monitoring engineers’ workloads
  • Producing and issuing client reports
  • Generating purchase orders for suppliers and subcontractors
  • Supporting general helpdesk administration activities
  • Monitoring operational performance targets and service level agreements (SLAs)

Skills & Knowledge

  • Previous experience working in a service / administrative environment will be beneficial, ideally within the service industry
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail with good spelling and grammar
  • Good organisational and multitasking abilities
  • A professional and confident telephone manner
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team

Wage: From 28k per year, depending on experience
