Digital Marketing Apprentice

As a Digital Marketing Apprentice, you will gain experience across a wide range of digital marketing activities within an award-winning business. This apprenticeship offers the opportunity to contribute to real marketing projects that showcase their services. From creating engaging social media content and producing photography and video to updating their website, writing news stories, and promoting the business, you’ll have the chance to build an impressive portfolio while developing sought-after digital marketing skills.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Marketing & Communications:
- Manage and grow the company’s Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn channels.
- Create engaging content including photography, video, graphics, and promotional campaigns.
- Visit company and client sites to capture marketing content.
- Update and maintain the company website.
- Produce customer e-shots and email marketing campaigns.
- Write news articles, case studies and promotional content.
- Support recruitment marketing and employer branding activities.
- Monitor social media performance and contribute fresh marketing ideas.
Business Support:
- Answer incoming telephone calls and assist with customer enquiries.
- Provide general office administration and business support.
- Prepare documents, complete filing, and carry out data entry.
- Support colleagues with day-to-day administrative tasks.
Skills & Knowledge
Shield Security is looking for someone enthusiastic, creative, and eager to learn. You will have:
- A genuine interest in digital marketing and social media.
- A creative eye for photography, video, and design.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Good IT skills and confidence using social media platforms.
- A positive attitude and willingness to develop new skills.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle would be advantageous, as the role involves visiting company and client sites to capture photography and video content.
