Meet the staff: Mya Buckingham
In this meet the staff article, we introduce you to Mya, who is our Recruitment Administrator at HBTC. She is exceptional at speaking to employers and finding out what their perfect apprentice would be and matching them with their ideal candidate.
We asked Mya some questions so you can get to know her better.
What is your Job title?
Recruitment Administrator
What do you most enjoy about your job?
I enjoy talking and interacting with new people every day. I find it so rewarding to help young people start their careers and find them an apprenticeship that they will enjoy and will hopefully progress in the future.
What subject did you most enjoy in school?
I really enjoyed food technology as I love to cook!
If you could travel back in time to any period, what period would you choose and why?
I would travel back to the 1950s. I really like the fashion and I would like to see Elvis perform live.
If you could move anywhere on Earth, where would you live and why?
I would move to America just to visit all of the different restaurants and go shopping
