Teaching Assistant Apprentice x 2
Caistor Yarborough Academy is looking to recruit two enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistant Apprentices to join its dedicated team.
This is a great opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people and want to gain valuable, hands-on experience while working towards a nationally recognised Teaching Assistant qualification.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting students on a one-to-one basis, in small groups, and within the classroom.
- Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive learning activities.
- Helping to promote students’ educational, social and emotional development.
- Building positive relationships with students, including those who may be disengaged from learning.
- Encouraging students to participate confidently in lessons and school activities.
- Providing additional support to students with special educational needs under the guidance of the SENCO and class teachers.
- Assisting with classroom preparation and learning resources.
- Promoting positive behaviour and helping to maintain a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Working closely with teaching staff and other colleagues to ensure students receive the best possible support.
- Demonstrating the Academy’s values and commitment to providing Excellence for All.
Skills & Knowledge
- Hold GCSE Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths.
- Have an interest in working with children and young people.
- Be caring, patient and approachable.
- Be able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be enthusiastic, reliable and eager to learn.
- Have a positive attitude and a willingness to support students of all abilities.
- Be organised and able to manage their time effectively.
- Be committed to creating a positive learning environment for all students.
