Key Responsibilities
This is a hugely rewarding and varied role. One moment you’ll be helping a child understand a lesson, the next you might be guiding them to their next class or supporting them with social interaction. You’ll spend your day alongside a specific pupil, providing consistent, dedicated support, watching them grow, learn, and thrive.
You’ll also:
- Provide individualised support to a child with SEND
- Work closely with class teachers to adapt lessons and learning
- Observe and provide feedback on progress
- Help the child overcome barriers to learning
- Play an active role in the wider life of the school
