Digital Marketing Apprentice

MRC Estate and Lettings Agents are looking for a Digital Marketing Apprentice to support the Sales and Lettings team to develop and deliver marketing and digital campaigns across a variety of online and social media platforms.

Working to sales and marketing briefs, campaigns, and instruction to target and deliver new business, access new markets, drive customer engagement and retention.
The role will also provide a range of administrative support services which may include activities such as reception duties, telephony support, managing correspondence, customer services, photocopying, filing, preparation of materials for meetings and events, updating the CRM database.
The post holder will have responsibility for managing their own tasks but will always be under the direct supervision of a qualified/experienced colleague.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working on marketing and email campaigns, strategies, and promotions.
  • Working with marketing activities such as Search Engine Optimisation.
  • Respond efficiently and professionally to enquiries using online platforms .
  • Build and implement digital campaigns across a variety of digital media platforms.
  • Measure and evaluate the success of digital marketing activities.
  • Update the company website’s and regularly post (approved) relevant content, information, and marketing materials across all company social media platforms.
  • Accurately maintaining and update the CRM (customer relationship management) system
  • To provide reception cover, speaking with existing and new clients, dealing with enquiries in a friendly and professional manner ensuring a high level of customer service is delivered.
  • To work co-operatively with colleagues to ensure the implementation and application of all departmental procedures and policies.
  • To work co-operatively with colleagues by providing general administrative support where required.
  • To keep up to date with information, training, and development opportunities appropriate to maintaining and developing professional standards and the skills required to perform the role effectively.
  • Ensuring that all content, correspondence, and services are delivered in line with relevant legislation, company objectives, policies, and procedures, including those relating to Equality and Diversity, GDPR, Customer Care and Health and Safety.
  • To undertake such other duties as may be required from time to time that reasonably fall within the scope of the role.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Grade A to C / 4-9 – Maths, Media/Marketing, English, IT (or equivalent)
  • A good understanding of the basic principle of marketing.
  • Awareness of the principles of the following specialist areas: search engine optimisation, email marketing, web design and analytics, mobile apps and Pay-PerClick and understands how these can work together and benefit the business.
  • Understands the similarities and differences, including positives and negatives, of all the major digital and social media platforms, and can use effectively for the benefit of the business.
  • Ability to think creatively to solve problems, with a clear commitment for identifying opportunities and delivering improvements.
  • Good organisational and time keeping skills with the ability to prioritise tasks to achieve targets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for a range of audiences and digital platforms and have a good understanding of the sensitivity of communication and the subtle language of sales and marketing.
  • Excellent self-presentation and a confident communicator with the ability to present effectively.
  • Good IT knowledge.
  • Experience of working with databases and collating information.
  • Experience of producing and checking information to a high degree of accuracy.
